Preferred Method of Play (Thread, Google Doc or Email, AIM): Threading, Google docs and email. English isn't my first language and spell-checking over AIM (especially if I'm running it through my cellphone) is difficult. For ooc-chatter, I'm comfortable enough with my english to chat and such, but for ic-interaction, I'd like to make as few mistakes as possible.
Character Information
Character name: Draco Malfoy Dysfunction: Hot-shot with the small penis Date of Birth: June 5th 1980 Age: 29 years old Occupation: Secretary for the second-in-command of MUKCUS Sexual Orientation: Straight, except for that one boy-crush on Victor Krum. Preferred PB: Thure Lindhardt Prospective Journal Name: oneinchwonder?
Appearance: Draco has a pinched sort of face. His nose is too pointed and his chin is almost sharp enough to cut yourself on. He's only 5'9 and weighs around 160 - still skinny and rather runty as an adult, but the receding hairline is bothering him more than the lack of bodyfat and height. He's blond and grey-eyed and burns in the sun more than he tans. This of course, keeps him out of the sun most of the time, unless he is slathered in sunblock-potion or stays in the shade.
Personality: First of all, Draco has a 'public personality' and a 'private' one.
Private: Draco fiercely believes that pure blood is something to be proud of. Very proud of. Draco is a descendant from both the line of Malfoy and the line of Blacks and he is very, very proud of this fact.
Draco is less against mixed blood due to the 'purity of blood' and more because letting in muggleborns and halfbloods will ruin the Wizarding world and its traditions with their own - muggle - traditions. If allowed, the muggleborns will take their traditions, holidays and weird foods with them from the muggleworld and impose these to the Wizarding one. Draco wants to raise his heir in the same world he was raised in; a world based on good, longstanding Wizarding traditions and Wizarding worldviews. Besides, everyone knows that when muggles learn about Wizards and Witches, things like the Witch-hunts happen.
He doesn't understand the muggleworld and has no desire ever to learn about them. They are primitive, they lack magic and they do everything all wrong. An example is the Gryffindor halfblood's preoccupation with 'soccer'. Running around on the ground, chasing only one(!) ball is unnatural and does not require the same level of skill and intelligence as Quidditch, everyone can see that.
Secondly, he is rather loyal to his friends, but only if he can see a benefit to himself for helping. There are very few people in the world that Draco would help selflessly, but Pansy and his parents would be amongst them.
He was a gifted student, especially in Potions. He has a temper and lashes out if he feels like it with sarcasm and hurtful comments. Draco can be fair, but he rarely shows it, he has a dark sense of humour and he always has to win.
Draco hates to lose to the point of his whole face crumbling and impotent tears of rage whenever it happens; he's better at controlling it, now that he's older, but his need to win will still get the better of him at times. Now whenever it happens, he will try and find a secluded corner to hide in, so that no one will see it.
Draco will never admit to being wrong or having faults unless he can see the advantage of doing so. He pointedly ignores his weaknesses for his strengths at all times and he will try to use and manipulate any situation to his own advantage.
After his brief stint in Azkaban and the less than spotless reputation of the Malfoy name, Draco wants to go in to politics and use any means necessary to clean up his name and one day become minister of magic. This is why he was a
Public personality: Draco in public is very charming. He uses his manners and upbringing to move higher in the political hierarchy (think Slughorn) and he is smooth and flattering when he needs to be. He would never lose his temper in public, nor would he engage in any sort of inappropriate behavior at all. This includes drinking, public displays of affection, yelling, spitting, cursing, fighting and being silly.
He would how ever, hold doors and chairs for women, while flirting with them in a safe manner
Personal History: Early Childhood: Draco grew up as the only child of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. He was spoiled and used to getting things his way. He would frequently play with other pureblood children, when his mother or father had their parents over on a visit or to talk business.
The books fail to mention what Wizarding children do before going to Hogwarts, but they are all capable of reading, writing and basic magic, so I imagine Narcissa would have taught her son or she would have hired tutors to teach Draco what he needed before he went to Hogwarts.
Everyone in the Wizarding world knows about Harry Potter and how he vanquished the Dark Lord when he was only one year old. Having been told this tale several times as a child, Draco would play 'Harry Potter and the Forces of Dark Wizards' as a child and bully other children in to playing the Dark Wizards.
Draco wanted to be the center of attention even as a child and playing the role of the most important wizard would have suited him just perfectly. Draco looked up to the powerful Wizard and had a severe case of hero-worship. When he managed to get to know Potter, Potter was an idiot and Draco would never allow him that much power over him and as such, most of the hero worship went away when Draco grew up.
This is also part of the reason he was disappointed in meeting the real Harry Potter; seeing as how Draco had heard so much about this child, and Harry seemed so normal and not at all how a proper Hero should be.
Hogwarts: Draco was almost too excited to sleep the day before he took the train to Hogwarts and bounced around the house like a bright ball of nervous energy until it was time to go.
He knew, even before entering the Great Hall for the first time, that he would be sorted in to Slytherin. After all, everyone in his family had been sorted in to that house and Draco wanted to be just like his father.
When Harry Potter refused to shake his hand, Draco was furious. Draco might be a Malfoy and a Black, but there are still a lot of people in the world who can claim that. There has only ever been one Harry Potter, and said Potter refused to acknowledge Draco as an equal. Clearly, Harry was not how the tales mentioned him and maybe, just maybe, the Hero had serious brain- or spell damage. Who wouldn't want to be friends with a Malfoy?
Contrary to what Harry thought, Draco's father did not buy Draco a place on the Slytherin Quidditch team in Draco's second year. Lucius did provide the entire team with better brooms, but only to give the team an edge over everyone else. Had Lucius bought Draco a place on the team, and had proven to be rubbish at it, it would have disgraced both the house and Draco as a person and it would have been counterproductive.
Draco is a good Seeker and he loves flying. The only Seeker he has yet to win against is Potter.
Until Lucius was tossed in Azkaban, Draco knew very little about what Lucius did when he wasn't at home. Lucius never told Draco about his work as a Death Eater and Draco only wanted to know because it seemed 'cool' to know more than everyone else.
During his third year, Draco stopped showering with the other Quidditch players and in the common shower in Slytherin. He was too ashamed and too embarrassed to be naked with the others - afraid that they would notice his small penis and har rass him for it. Draco would rather put up with being called a pansy and a fag, than being singled out for having a teeny tiny dick. Eventually the jokes stopped and Draco's habit of showering alone was just 'one of those' quirks that he had along with his tendency to sleep with the lights on and rant about Potter a lot.
When he was slashed by the hippogriff in his third year, Draco slept with a nightlight for three months. He might have embellished on how long he had the injury, but the animal did manage to sink it's talons in to his arm and Madam Pomfrey did have to keep him in the hospital wing for a few days in order for the wound to heal. When Mad-eye Moody (or, Barty Crouch Jr. polyjuiced as Mad-eye) transfigured Draco in to ferret and bounced him off the walls, Draco slept with a nightlight for a year. The violent bouncing broke several of Draco's bones and he spent days in the hospital wing after that episode.
During his sixth year, Draco ended up isolated from most of the other Slytherins and chose to spend his evenings either in the library or the room of requirement. Even Saint Potter and his pet weasel could not dither him from his work, and Draco, for the first time in his life, ignored his own pleasure and wants in order to fix the cabinet.
Draco formed a strange relationship with Moaning Myrtle in the girls' loo during this time, whenever the stress and pressure of his assignment became too great, Draco would seek out Myrtle and they would talk. Some times for hours and sometimes just a few minutes until Draco got himself under control.
When Potter raced in and saw Draco in a very vulnerable position, all Draco wanted was for Potter to feel as bad as he did. To feel the pain Draco was in and really regret putting Draco in this position. None of the events in his sixth year would have happened, had Potter not thrown Lucius in Azkaban, or so Draco thought at the time.
The end of Draco's sixth year ended with a disaster on top of the Astronomy Tower. Unable to complete the final part of his task, Draco froze at the prospect of murder when he had Dumbledore alone, unarmed and at his mercy and not even the taunts from the Death Eaters or Snape's sudden appearance were any help at all.
Draco watched in a daze as glory, honor and his parents lives were ripped away from him in a sickening green light as Snape killed Dumbledore.
The following flight from Hogwarts bled in to racing across a muddy field with half a dozen Death Eaters trying to reach the rundown house in the middle of it. Draco looked around a few times as Snape dragged him along for the ride and the sight of all the faceless, masked wizards rushing past them, levitating the wounded or the few members of Greyback's pack snarling and snapping their jaws at everyone else, scared him even more.
At the end of the run there was only waiting.
The punishment Draco had anticipated never came. He was only one of many and not important enough for the Dark Lord to bother with personally. So, Draco went back to Malfoy manor and waited just a little bit more.
Stuck as he was, he listened to his aunt rant and ramble all through that summer. Her dedication to the cause and to he-must-not-be-named was at a fever pitch - the whole house was filled with her shrill voice praising Him or the newest plan or the latest killing spree.
Draco hid himself away in his room and waited for school to start.
7th year was different. The Gryffindors were fighting the teachers in the hallways - a few Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs joined in and most classes were taught by incompetent idiots. The only bright thing about that year, was Potter and his 'friends' being away. Even if his girlfriend fought like a mad thing to keep Potter's 'cause' alive.
During the attack on Hogwarts, Draco never killed anyone. He might have hexed a few people - from both sides as he was simply trying to get out, get away and hide - and afterward, all he wanted was his mum and dad.
Draco used the distractions of war and his 'mission' as an excuse to keep his distance from the girls. Draco never dated while at Hogwarts, even if he wanted to, because he saw no way out of getting naked with them after a while and that was just simply not an option. Being good at potions, Draco tried to brew a growth-potion a few times, but after ending up with warts in the wrong places and one memorable time, turned his entire crotch blue, he gave up on self-made potions and tried spells. The glamour-spell worked - in appearance at least. But anyone touching him would know in a heartbeat and Draco dropped the idea. Inflating it only resulted in his penis becoming odly bumpy and gnarly-looking and by the end of the war, Draco had stopped trying to find a solution on his own. After the war His trial went fast. Draco had no dark mark on his arm, but there was evidence that he had tried to murder two students while still attending Hogwarts, that he had conspired and tried to murder the headmaster of Hogwarts in 1997 and that he was the one to let Death Eaters enter Hogwarts in 1997. An act that cost the life of several students, Aurors and faculty members.
He was sentenced to 8 months in Azkaban.
When he was released, Draco hurried home. His father was still in Azkaban, but Narcissa was living alone in the huge manor. The ministry had ceased a large amount of galleons - to aid the rebuilding effort and to punish the Malfoys for supporting the losing side - but they had the house and the centuries of pureblood history.
Draco wants to become minister of magic one day, but the struggle is a long and hard one with the Malfoy name so closely associated with he-who-must-not-be-named. But he was able to get a job as a clerk in the Trolls and Goblins Liaisons office about six months after his release.
Draco worked hard - not only in the office, but outside of it. He gave interviews when asked; making sure the whole wizarding world knew about the pressure he was under during his sixth year. That he was caught between helping a mad man or watching his family tortured or killed. Draco explains about how he didn't want to let murderers in to Hogwarts - that he was in as much danger as anyone; his friends were in danger; he didn't kill the late Headmaster, because even with the threat of his parents murder hanging over his head, he could not make himself kill such a great wizard.
Aside from granting interviews, Draco also donated a lot of galleons to the rebuilding of the wizarding world foundation - and he would mention this in a few of the articles. Mention that every little knut would help and every hand was needed to help their world back on to its feet. Draco would also be on site where he could, lending a hand in clean-up and volunteer to spend his nights and weekends at St. Mungo's to help care for the disabled and spell-addled.
Since Lucius was in Azkaban, with no hope of getting out, Draco was recognized as master of Malfoy Manor. The protective spells and curses let him in everywhere and along with finding the forbidden Dark Arts books, Draco also found his father's blackmail material on several ministry officials. A lot of the ministry personnel were now dead or out of office due to impenitence, but enough were still employed for Draco to use.
He would bribe, blackmail and flatter the important people, and after two years, he was hired as undersecretary to the third-in-command of the Magical Unit of Keeping our Children Uninjured and Safe. (MUKCUS - after the story of how the Chosen One was brought up, the unit was set up to ensure that no other magical child would suffer neglect or abuse from non-magical parental figures. One of the many projects the unit is working on, is teaching the non-magical parental figures how to teach, care for and nurture the magical child.)
Draco still buys every potion and spell know to wizards that promise to make his dick larger - undercover of course, but he buys them and tried them out. Every. Last. One.

First Person: Someone forgot to stock up on sugar and snail-horns in the break room this week. My job is difficult enough without having to venture in to Diagon Alley on a tuesday right when Borgin's are having a three-for-two sale and everyone and their kneazel are milling about in that shop!
It took me two hours and 13 minutes, and I ended up with more pus, slime and ground-up batswings on me than during Potions. Please, people, pay attention to where you are going.
This year, mother insisted that I attend the annual party in the hospital. 'You helped as much as anyone, pickle', she would say and how could I refuse such a heartfelt plea. While the party was for volunteers and financial aids only, I did see a few new faces there. One springs to mind immediately - the lady I saw sneak in to the coatroom after the speeches started up. Now, mind you, a few of them were a bit long-winded, but it is always a pleasure to be reminded of how much everyone helped and how much we all care about the work we have done here. Mediwitch Mildritch's speech was especially moving, because yes, maybe we as a community should focus just a little more of our time and effort to help the facially challenged patients. I am sure none of us would enjoy having a mouth in the back of our heads or ears for eyes.
I might have lost my timepiece at the party, though. It's a gold watch with a picture of my mother inside. Should anyone find this heirloom, please firecall my office or send an owl to D. Malfoy, Malfoy Manor, Wiltshire.
Third Person: "MERLINS SWEATY BALLS!" The loud scream was followed by the sound of several glasses breaking and wood splintering. Draco looked back down at the letter and hurled yet another plate at the wall. A tiny house elf barely managed to duck before getting hit over the head as it sailed past it and exploded in a cloud of sharp shards against the wall. The house elf continued to sweep up the mess on the floor and Draco started pacing.
The letter-writer claimed to have prof of Draco torturing muggles for fun. Picture evidence. Draco was fuming, furiously pacing up and down the hardwood floor and muttering under his breath. His position at the ministry was still fragile and plenty of witches and wizards would be more than happy to believe filthy, disgusting lies like this. If the Prophet got a hold of this...!
Draco threw another plate. The following clatter was too mute, too delicate to help any and he slammed his fist in to the table. And again. Again. He continued until his knuckles bled and his whole hand throbbed with pain. Fuck!
He could pay, he had the money sitting quietly in a vault in Gringotts, but what would stop the mysterious letter-writer from simply asking for more?
After taking a deep breathe, Draco sat down at the desk. He pulled out his quill and ink and started writing.
"To the Chief of the Auror Department.
I am enclosing a letter I received this morning, wrongfully accusing me of the murder and torture of several muggles last week. I have been unable to find out the identity of the writer, but I have every faith in you and your department's ability to do so.
It is distressing that law abiding wizards can be subjected to blackmail such as this in our day and age and I urge you to find the perpetrator before others get caught in his or her vicious lies.
I am, of course, willing to subject myself to Veritaserum to aid the investigation.
