[Draco Malfoy, age 17]

   BASIC INFO

Name: Draco Malfoy
Date of Birth: June 5th , 1980
Blood status: Pureblood
Year : 7th Not in school anymore
House : Slytherin
Occupation : Student, Prefect and a brilliant Seeker) Hiding
More detailed description:
During his 6th year, Draco showed slim to no ability in being cunningly evil. His rushed plans to kill Dumbledore with the necklace and the poisoned spirits were reckless at best and just plain dumb at worst. The chances of him getting discovered was large, and maybe Draco wanted to get caught in order to prevent him from going through with the plan to let the Death Eaters in to Hogwarts.

He realized at some point that letting in Death Eaters would not only hurt and kill muggleborn children, but would also put himself and other Slytherins at risk.

It is one thing to boast about family values and purity of bloodlines, and quite another to kill off other human beings to ensure that it will happen.

Draco might not have the best moral compass in the world, but he does draw the line at killing and seriously harming others. He might have thought about Crucio-ing Harry in the girls' loo for all of a second, but since they were interrupted by Professor Snape before the first spell was cast, there's no way to know for sure if the curse would have worked.

Every time Draco had to try and kill off Dumbledore, and subsequently learned that his plans had backfired and almost killed off other students, Draco became violently ill. The first time, learning that the necklace had all but killed Katie Bell, Draco was in Myrtle's bathroom throwing up for hours. This is how he started talking to the ghost of a dead muggleborn student.

Sexuality : Not something Draco has ever thought about, but if asked directly, he would say heterosexual. (Kinsey-scale 2)
Wand : 11½' Mahogany with a hair from the mane of a Kelpie

Loyalties :
Draco doesn't like (it went from 'hate' to 'dislike' when he first became ill after almost killing a fellow student) muggleborns and mudbloods. He believes that if not under control, these people will take over the wizarding world and destroy the wizarding traditions.

Until he was forced to act on his 'hate', Draco wanted nothing more than to see all the mixblooded students disappear in to thin air. When reality hit, Draco had to think long and hard about the very real fact; one day he would meet his fellow students on the battlefield and unless he killed someone, he would be the one killed instead.

Now, after everything he went through in his 6th year, Draco still want the muggleborns and the halfbloods out of the Wizarding world, but he is less sure about killing all of them to ensure this.

If Draco could have his way, the muggleborns and halfbloods would all just go away in silence, leaving the Wizarding world to those it belongs to. No bloodshed and no need for Draco (or his family) to get involved.

View on Blood Status :
Pure blood is something to be proud of. Very proud of. Draco is a descendant from both the line of Malfoy and the line of Blacks and he is very, very proud of this fact.

Draco is less against mixed blood due to the 'purity of blood' and more because letting in muggleborns and halfbloods will ruin the Wizarding world and it's traditions with their own, muggle, traditions. If allowed, the muggleborns take their traditions, holidays and weird foods with them from the muggleworld and impose these to the Wizarding one. Draco wants to raise his heir in the same world he was raised in; a world based on good, longstanding Wizarding traditions and Wizarding worldviews. Besides, everyone knows that when muggles learn about Wizards and Witches, things like the Witch-hunts happen.

He doesn't understand the muggle world and has no desire ever to learn about them. They are primitive, they lack magic and they do everything all wrong. An example is the Gryffindor halfblood's preoccupation with 'soccer'. Running around on the ground, chasing only one(!) ball is unnatural and does not require the same level of skill and intelligence as Quidditch, everyone can see that.

   APPEARANCE

Height : 5'9
Weight : 140
Hair and Eyes : Draco's eyes are grey and his hair is blonde, not quite the white-blonde colour it had when he was a child, but still rather pale. Overall, one word to describe Draco would be: pale.

Manner of Dress: Robes. Always and everywhere, Draco will wear robes as these are traditional Wizardwear. They are usually dark in colour, either black or just dark green, blue or purple.

Detailed Description:
Draco has a pinched sort of face. His nose is too pointed and his chin is almost sharp enough to cut yourself on. After losing weight during his 6th year, these sharp, pointed features have grown more distinct and Draco looks a little ill most of the time. His skin looks almost see-through and the veins on his arms and legs are visible if he didn't wear large robes to cover up. He is thin, too thin for a 17 year old growing boy, and he does not have 'Quidditch toned muscles' anywhere. He is rather bony-looking and could use a few more pounds of meat on him.

PB: Tom Felton

   RELATIVES

Mother : Narcissa Malfoy (born Black),
Pureblood.
Father : Lucius Malfoy, Pureblood, Death Eater. Currently in Azkaban
Siblings : None
On being a Malfoy :
Draco seems to think being a Malfoy and a pureblood means being part of the Wizarding Elite. The top of society, where 'proper wizards and witches' strive to be. Canon states that the Malfoys do have money. Lucius was able to get out of prison-time after the first war either because his claim of being under Imperious was believed or, as Ron mentions, because he was able to buy and bribe his way out of it.

Until Lucius is placed in Azkaban for trying to break in to the Ministry of Magic and assassinate Harry Potter, being a Malfoy was something to be proud of. After, and I'm basing this on how Slughorn behaved in book 6 towards Draco, the name lost the appeal and is now associated with being a follower of You Know Who.

Other Relatives:
Seeing how a lot of the pureblood society is close to inbred, Draco is related (how ever distant) to a lot of the other pureblood families. This is best shown by the Black family Tree.

Other friendships/relationships of note:
Draco used to spend a lot of time with Crabbe and Goyle, but despite letting them help in during his 6th year, Draco didn’t confide his plan to his friends. He is rather fond of Pansy, which showed when he let her play with his hair on the Hogwarts Express, but he didn't have much time for her during his busy 6th year.

   PERSONALITY

Draco is loyal to his friends and members of his house (and of course his family). He is a gifted student, especially in Potions. He has a temper and lashes out if he feels like it, with sarcasm and hurtful comments. Draco can be fair, but he rarely shows it, he has a dark sense of humour and he always has to win, especial if he's up against Harry Potter.

Draco truly believed that He Who Must Not Be Named is on the path to making the world a better place. He hated Mudbloods, half-bloods and cross-species offspring. Until he lived through his sixth year.

During the time from where the assignment was placed on him, by the Dark Lord, and Draco strode in to the battlefield to kill his classmates, he realized that his family were more important than loyalty to any Dark Lord. This leaves Draco in quite a dilemma.

Draco will never admit to being wrong or having faults unless he can see the advantage of doing so. He pointedly ignores his weaknesses for his strengths at all times and he will use and manipulate any situation to his own advantage.

Draco will associate with other members of his house and can be persuaded to talk to people from other houses if they interest him.

Up and till the end of his fifth year, all Draco wanted in life was to be just like his father, any way he could. Draco wanted the money and prestige, the fawning and simpering Ministers, to lead the Death Eaters when the Dark Lord bid it and the control over life and death that you gained with great knowledge of the Dark Arts.

That his father could make a mistake grave enough to land himself in Azkaban, shook Draco's world. And that the person responsible for his father's incarceration was Potter, did not help matters much. All through the summer, Draco researched everything he could to get his father out. Laws and regulations, spells and curses, but it was all in vain. Lucius was stuck in prison, because of a 15 year old Harry Potter.

When he was approached by Death Eaters and forced to either kill a human-being or watch as his parents, and later himself, was murdered, the illusion of his fathers importance in the Death Eater-group was shattered.

The summer between 5th and 6th year, Draco was taught Occlumency by Bellatrix Lestrange, and he shows a greater level of skill in this than Harry, and repels Snape's attempt to read his mind through his 6th year at Hogwarts.

When his original plan to lead the Death Eaters in to Hogwarts and kill Dumbledore took too long, Draco tried to kill the headmaster by sending cursed items. All these attempts fail as well, and 'only' students are affected.

His former 'I am better than you' attitude is momentarily missing, but he is still a Malfoy, and Malfoys do not show weakness.

Habits: Draco rubs the hem of his robes when he's nervous (the robes he wore during his 6th year, all have holes in the sleeves from when Draco would pace the grounds rubbing them between his thumb and forefingers while deep in thought and in distress).

Manner of Speech: British. Draco was born and raised in Wiltshire and his accent shows this. He tends to drawl his words when he's trying to seem impressive or arrogant.

   BIOGRAPHY

Early Childhood:
Draco grew up as the only child of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. He is spoiled and used to getting things his way. He would frequently play with other pureblood children, when his mother or father had their parents over on a visit or to talk business.

The books fail to mention what wizarding children do before going to Hogwarts, but they are all capable of reading, writing and basic magic, so I image Narcissa would have taught her son or she would have hired tutors to teach Draco what he needed before he went to Hogwarts.

Everyone in the Wizarding world knows about Harry Potter and how he vanquished the Dark Lord when he was only one year old. Having been told this tale several times as a child, Draco would play 'Harry Potter and the Forces of Dark Wizards' as a child and bully other children in to playing the Dark Wizards. Draco wanted to be the center of attention even as a child, and playing the role of the most important wizard would have suited him just perfectly.

This is also part of the reason he was disappointed in meeting the real Harry Potter, seeing how Draco had heard so much about this child, and Harry seemed so normal and not at all how a proper Hero should be.

Hogwarts:
Draco was almost too exited to sleep the day before he took the train to Hogwarts and bounced around the house as a ball of nervous energy until it was time to go.

He knew before entering the Great Hall for the first time, that he would be sorted in to Slytherin. After all, everyone in his family had been sorted in there and Draco wanted to be just like his father.

When Harry Potter refused to shake his hand, Draco was furious. Draco might be a Malfoy and a Black, but there are still a lot of people in the world who can claim that. There has only ever been one Harry Potter, and said Potter refused to acknowledge Draco as an equal. Clearly, Harry was not how the tales mentioned him and maybe, just maybe, the Hero had serious brain damage or spell damage. Who wouldn't want to be friends with a Malfoy?

Contrary to what Harry thought, Draco's father did not buy Draco a place on the Slytherin Quidditch team in Draco's second year. Lucius did provide the entire team with better brooms, but only to give the team an edge over everyone else. Had Lucius bought Draco a place on the team, and had proven to be rubbish at it, it would have disgraced both the house and Draco as a person and it would have been counterproductive to buy a place on the team, if Draco not been good at it.

Draco is a good Seeker and he loves flying. The only Seeker he has yet to win against is Potter.

Until Lucius was tossed in Azkaban, Draco knew very little about what Lucius did when he wasn't at home. Lucius never told Draco about his work as a Death Eater and Draco only wanted to know because it seemed 'cool' to know more than everyone else.

When he was slashed by the hippogriff in his third year, Draco slept with a nightlight for three months. He might have embellished on how long he had the injury, but the animal did manage to sink it's talons in to his arm and Madam Pomfrey did have to keep in the hospital wing for a few days in order for the wound to heal. When Mad-eye Moody (or, Barty Crouch Jr. polyjuiced as Mad-eye) transfigured Draco in to ferret and bounced him off the walls, Draco slept with a nightlight for a year. The violent bouncing broke several of Draco's bones and he spent days in the hospital wing after that episode.

In his 6th year, Draco grew distant and introvert. While it did show his ability in fixing the magical cabinet to let in the Death Eaters, Draco was torn between nightmares and sleepless nights because of the potential damage to either his fellow students or his family.

   MISCELLANEOUS

Goals:
All Draco wants out of life, is to have his world back. He wants everything to be the way it was when he was a child; Father and mother at home, no war, no killings and no impossible tasks to complete.

Fears:
Being powerless. Changes. Draco hates changes and fears the world that comes after the war no matter who wins it. He cannot think about Potter's side winning without picturing muggles and halfbloods flooding the streets, changing everything and destroying the traditions that have been in place for hundreds of years. Yet, he cannot think about Voldemort winning without getting the same sick feeling in his stomach that the world is still changing around him. If Voldemort wins, it means a lot of humans have been killed, possibly even by Draco himself, and Draco fears this.

Flaws/Quirks:
Draco is arrogant. Too arrogant at times, and until his two failed attempts to kill Dumbledore, he was sure there was nothing he couldn't do if he put his mind to it. He is extremely proud of his heritage, and it grates on him to 'serve' someone else than his father. Even when this someone is Voldemort. He understands the need to rid the world of mudbloods and muggles, but Draco cannot see why he has to do this by bending down on one knee to another wizard.

Until the stress of his 6th year got to him, Draco was vain. He could use 20 minutes every morning making sure his uniform was on correctly and make sure not a hair was out of place. When the strain of the murder-plot and repairing the cabinet got worse, he started neglecting everything that was less than life-or-death situations in his life, and thus his impeccable dress-style and hair-care suffered from this.

Draco lost a lot of weight during his 6th year at Hogwarts, and by the time Snape pushed him down the stairs and off school grounds, Draco looked more gaunt and emaciated than ever before. He had dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep, a fine web of scares on the lower half of his face and down his torso from Harry's ' Sectumsempra' and his normally fitted schoolrobes were hanging too loosely from his shoulders.
